The Flower Passage in Istanbul is located in European side of Istanbul and on the well-known Istiklal Street. It is regarded as one of the historic places in Istanbul. It was built in 1876 by a renowned Greek banker. This passage has three floors and its architecture dates back to the nineteenth century. This passage is called çıçek pasajı or the flower passage, but it is not a flower shop. The name çıçek or flower comes from a Russian exile that used to sell flowers here. This is why this passage is named Flower. This passage has well-known and traditional restaurants and bars that are highly priced.
